Sheet thickness and cutting tolerance
In fiber laser cutting the tolerance depends on the material and its thickness. Stainless steel of 1–3 mm runs at ±0.1 mm, while above 15 mm the heat input widens the tolerance.
What does this mean in practice?
If the fit tolerance of mounting holes matters, telling us the material and thickness up front makes the job easier.
